Signs Your Sprinklers Need Repair

Increasing temperatures can cause those in charge of lawn care to pull out their sprinkler systems. However, after laying dormant and unused for a few months some sprinkler systems may experience problems. To ensure that a sprinkler system isn’t in need of repair, owners should be aware of any signs.

Higher Water Bills

This is probably that biggest tell that there is a leak somewhere. If the water bill has remained steady in the past but does an unusual spike when the sprinkler is in use, it wise to check the sprinkler system for signs of damage.

Drips or Leaks

Another obvious sign is if there are any leaks or drips from either end of the sprinkler system or any along the hosing. Although nozzles could need tightening, there could be a more serious issue at hand.

Overgrown or Soggy Patches

If a sprinkler system is properly functioning, the entire yard will look lush, fertile and evenly maintained. However, if there are overgrown, yellowing or even bald soggy patches, that’s a sign of a leak.

Fluctuations in Water Pressure

Fluctuations be could mean that the water is coming out too forcefully, in a weak stream or even with erratic sputtering or spurts.

Anyone experiencing any of these issues with their sprinkler system should get a check. For sprinkler repair in Round Rock, visit this website.
